Question:
What if I want to customize my cup?
Answer:
We will gladly place your logo or monogram the cup for orders of 72 or more. See Customized Gifts for more information. Simply call us at 516 767 6431 or email us at sales@www.mycupofcake.com.

Question:
What is the optimal cooking time?
Answer:
All microwaves cook at various temperatures. See Baking Instructions to determine optimum baking times. Typically, the older microwaves are less powerful and are 700 watts. The newer models tend to be stronger, so be sure the POWER IS ON LOW and watch the soufflé rise just above the rim of the cup and then just as it begins to fall – it is done. If you prefer a smooth, molten center, undercook the soufflé a bit.

Question:
Does the cake cook differently in high altitudes?
Answer:
Yes. There is less air pressure in a high altitude area, such as, Denver, CO, and that makes My Cup of Cake rise faster in the microwave and then immediately fall and flatten out. Take 2 tablespoons out of the mixture and fill the paper cup with half water and prepare as normal.

Question:
Why is the shipping cost so much?
Answer:
My Cup of Cake weights only 2 lbs. Our warehouse is located in upstate NY. If you shipped 1 My Cup of Cake to the NE area, it would cost approx. $8.73. If you shipped five My Cup of Cake, it would cost only $1.11 more. It is best to purchase more at one time to avoid higher shipping costs.

FEDEX also charges fuel charges which will vary and charges $3.00+ to deliver to a residential address (if you can send to an office, a commercial address – you will save that charge).
